The Christmas Market at Tjolöholm Castle

Save the date: November 11, 2022, as the starting day for the Christmas market at Tjöloholm Castle. During the next three weekends it is possible to visit this historic Tudor-style castle located south of Gothenburg in the Kungsbacka fjord in Halland County.

Its popular fire show, activities related to Christmas ornament design, a “shower of sweets” by the castle, choir and coral concerts in the castle church and live craft shows are some of the activities that await the visitors of the Christmas market at Tjolöholm.

Since 1987 this Christmas market immerses the visitor in a historic winter environment amidst the cultural pearls offered by this unique location in Sweden.

Hundreds of artisans from far away and other local companies will showcase their craft and gastronomic products among many others.

If you are visiting Gothenburg at Christmas you might want to include a visit to the Christmas market at Tjolöholm Castle. The entry fee is SEK 100 (9.5€ / $10.30 / £8.00) for adults during the week and SEK 120 (~12€ / $11 / £9.70) at the weekend. Parking costs around 3€ / $3/ £2.65. Children up to 14 years have free entry.

Some bus companies (Skaraborgsresor, Ramkvillabuss, Smålandsbussen and Tjörnarp’s bus) organize daily trips to Tjolöholm Castle from various destinations in Sweden.
